2010 LCD TV market revenue will reach $84 billion 300 million

According to market research firm iSuppli report, although the LCD TV market will continue to maintain strong growth momentum, but the LCD TV manufacturers have not fared well, they have to face the fierce competition as well as LCD TV become commodities challenge. The consultancy expects the LCD TV market to grow at an annual rate of 27.5% between 2005 and 2010, with revenues of $84 billion 300 million.

Analysts at the consulting firm said that by the end of this year, LCD TV revenues will exceed the traditional CRT TV, and by the end of 2009 LCD TV shipments will exceed CRT tv. LCD TV prices continue to decline, as well as increasing the size of the panel to stimulate consumer demand.

However, the rapid growth of LCD TV market growth to other flat-panel TV technology, including plasma, LCD TV in 2007 will become the leader in the large flat-panel TV market.

ISuppli said that 32 inches and smaller size LCD TV has become a commodity, is expected to be 40 inches and 42 inches of products will enter the homes of ordinary people next year. With the TV before the daily necessities, the manufacturer's profit will inevitably shrink. With billions of dollars in the seventh and eighth generation LCD panel plant put into operation, when the manufacturers invest in these factories will be at risk, so they will do their best to avoid rapid product into commodity trend. Analysts say manufacturers can slow down the trend by improving the differential performance of their products.
