Accumulate technology provides single channel high power LED driver, MBI1801, output current up to 1 Amps

Taiwan, Hsinchu, September 2005 - accumulation of technology for high power LED emerging lighting market, the official introduction of the output current up to 1 amps drive IC, the IC high output current characteristics can be combined with different lighting products.

Compared to other solutions on the market, MBI1801 can provide constant current to high power LED, which can avoid a lot of unexpected situations, such as excessive current caused by expensive high power LED burned out.

The application of PrecisionDrive and All-Ways-On technology, MBI1801 provides a constant current output and high output current capability; the user can through an external resistor to set the MBI1801 current, maximum output current up to 1 amps, applicable to all kinds of LED lighting products. In addition, the user can control the brightness of the LED through the input PWM signal, the frequency can be as high as 1MHz, ranging from 100% to 0%.

In order to ensure the reliability of the application, the MBI1801 built-in temperature sensor with Thermal (TP, Protection) function and provide heat sink. Temperature sensor can detect the temperature state of the MBI1801. When the MBI1801 temperature is more than 165 degrees C, the overheat protection function will turn off the current to prevent the temperature of the driver too high. MBI1801 in the TO220-5 package, add heat sink, through the metal gasket heat conduction to the printed circuit board, increase the heat dissipation ability, in order to achieve the safe processing of high output current.

MBI1801 can drive different LED lighting products, such as LED table lamp, flashlight and MR16 bulb.
