Analysts warned semiconductor market consumption of IC stocks rose

Market research company said in its latest warning about the IC supply chain, it has been found that the rise in consumption of IC semiconductor market special inventory. IC Insights said, is expected in the third quarter of this year, the consumer IC market will be a substantial growth in the OEM market, but the stock is also significantly higher.

Special consumption IC including simulation, special logic, standard unit /PLD, micro controller and digital signal processor (DSP). According to IC Insights, the majority of inventory growth is concentrated in the analog and dedicated logic markets. These areas account for 85% of the total private consumption IC market.

The latest signs of special consumer IC market is worrying to excess inventory stage. IC Insights said that in the past 10 years, IC unit shipments grew at a CAGR of approximately 9%. However, IC unit shipments in the second quarter of 2005 began to break away from this trend, leading to possible inventory growth.
