The latest data by Reed Electronics Research published and issued by the In-Stat report shows that in 2005 the entertainment automotive electronics market is estimated to be worth $36 billion 800 million and the non global, 2010 is expected to reach $52 billion 100 million.

All product segments and regions are expected to grow, with the strongest demand coming from emerging markets in Asia and Eastern europe.

Although North America is a mature market for many automotive electronics systems, electronic brake, control and drive information will grow strongly.

Other findings from the survey include: 32% of the world's power electronics market in 2005, which will remain unchanged until about 2010. The power transmission market will continue to face significant pricing pressures, particularly in mature markets, but partly offset by the need for higher processing power to meet stricter regulatory requirements.

Between 2005 and 2010 body / chassis electronics will show an average annual growth rate of 9.4% years, the global market will increase from $6 billion 300 million to $4 billion. As manufacturers continue to try to improve performance and reduce the total cost of the system, the trend towards a fully integrated system will remain constant throughout the forecast period.

Passive protection system market output will continue to grow, especially in the side airbag part. Market penetration of roll protection systems and other airbags will also grow. The market penetration of smart airbags will increase during the forecast period, and its growth in the North American market thanks to the introduction of relevant laws and regulations.

In 2005, all safe and convenient facilities accounted for 50.3% of the global market, reaching $18 billion 500 million. During this period the body controller, multi channel technology / distribution and navigation system will show a strong growth rate. Navigation market will continue to integrate with the audio and entertainment market, combined with the market will become one of the fastest growing automotive electronics market. Driver assistance systems, such as collision avoidance systems, night vision systems and lane departure warning systems, will show strong growth despite a low starting point.

Car manufacturers and their suppliers are experiencing major changes and consolidation, which is expected to continue and exist in all sectors of the industry. Recent examples include European acquisition of Motorola automotive electronic business; Valeo acquisition of Johnson Control engine controller business; and SIEMENS VDO acquisition of Huntsville electronics division Chrysler daimler. As car manufacturers continue to reduce the number of suppliers, leading systems companies will also take the same action, which will promote the further consolidation of the company. Although in today's social environment, system suppliers tend to car manufacturers located in the near position, but the system and component suppliers are through the transfer of production to reduce the cost of the site to reduce total cost. The impact of high cost and pricing pressures resulting from the establishment of long term relationships with local manufacturers has hindered the development of suppliers in Europe and japan. Instead, North American suppliers are trying to fend off high wages and pension costs, which have led to the collapse of a number of well-known companies.

The In-Stat survey recently?? "automotive electronics?? to the 2010 international market and supplier profile" provides a detailed analysis of the automotive electronics market, with emphasis on the key areas of development, and provides a comprehensive overview of the important growth market key system suppliers. Relevant market data include North American minivans, pickups and sport utility vehicles, but does not include the value of each sensor, Infotainment System (including communication systems) and commercial vehicle electronics.
