Avago Technologies (Annwa) announced the launch of two models using extended SO (Stretched Small Outline) new gate drive optocouplers package, mainly for household appliances and industrial applications in the field of AC and DC brushless motor. Avago's ACPL-W302 and ACPL-W314 gate drive optocouplers provide a solution for the control of variable speed brushless motors used in energy efficient household appliances such as air conditioners and washing machines. The package size of ACPL-W302 and ACPL-W314 optocoupler is 50% smaller than that of the traditional dual in line package.
