BASF electronic materials factory settled in Shanghai investment 4 million

BASF electronics factory opened in Shanghai. The new plant will invest 4 million euros in the production and purification of electronic chemicals (i.e. solvents and etching solutions) to meet the needs of China's rapidly growing integrated circuit manufacturing market.

BASF vice president of global electronic materials, Dr. Karl-RudolfKurtz said at the opening ceremony: "the new factory is our production in the shortest time, with excellent quality and competitive prices, to meet the market demand results. Our goal is that by 2010 the Asia Pacific region, 70% of chemical sales from local production."

In addition to the production facilities, the new plant also has a warehouse, management and marketing office and an ultra pure chemical analysis laboratory, will employ 33 employees. It is expected that China's integrated circuit electronic chemicals market will grow at an annual rate of 25% by 2010.
