BenQ and quanta are Toshiba large size LCD TV orders

According to informed sources, the Benq Corp (BenQ) and Quanta Computer Corp (Quanta Computer) recently gained large size LCD TV orders of Japanese Toshiba Co, delivery time in the first half of this year.

According to reports, Benq Corp will be in June for another LCD TV manufacturers in Japan to provide large-size LCD tv. Benq Corp declined to comment on the relevant reports.

Benq Corp plans to produce and sell 720 thousand LCD TV products in 2006, the goal is its LCD TV sales last year, which is more than two times more than 300 thousand units. According to Benq Corp, 70% of these products are orders from the original factory commissioned design (ODM) or the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Earlier this year, Benq Corp said this year's LCD TV sales target is 600 thousand units.

Japan's Sony Corp, Sanyo Corporation and Thomson in Europe are also Benq Corp customers in LCD TV products.

According to reports, Benq Corp expects it this year in the local market in Taiwan LCD TV sales will double to 40 thousand units, accounting for the Taiwan LCD TV market share of 7% to 10%. Taiwan LCD TV market this year will reach 450 thousand to the overall size of the 550 thousand units. Last year, the total demand for LCD TV market in Taiwan 330 thousand.
