Bright LED will expand surface mount LED in the first quarter of 08

Bright LED said the company plans to expand production in the first quarter of 2008 its SMD LED per month to 300 million units, in order to expand the product line, SMD LED and super bright LED also plans in 2008 capital expenditures will be doubled to 1 billion nt.

Market observers estimate that due to increasing orders from mainland China Bright LED will move forward by the end of 2008 to increase its SMD LED output to 400 million units. Due to the strong demand for consumer electronics applications ultra bright LED monthly production is expected to double in the second quarter of 2008 to reach 2.6.

Due to the Chinese New Year holiday in February, the company expects revenue in the first quarter of 2008 can be decreased by 6-10%. However, the company expects to maintain two digit growth.
