China's LED dynamic backlight control technology research and development made important progress

In the 863 Plan "semiconductor lighting project" major projects supported by BOE Technology Group Limited by Share Ltd to undertake the "LED backlight technology research in LED B/L LCD TV technology development has made significant progress.

BOE Technology Group Limited by Share Ltd TCL group has completed the development of dynamic backlight control technology, complete with a 47 inch prototype preparation; and in the ultra-thin structure design technology, design and development of the 47 inch ultra-thin LCD TV module, the whole thickness of less than 20mm, the next generation of BOE for the mass production of large-size LCD TV finished technical reserves.

It is reported that the dynamic backlight control technology can greatly improve the dynamic contrast (TV from the static contrast about 1000:1, raised to level one hundred thousand), significant energy saving (about 30-40% than the static energy saving technology), and improve the color gamut of about 10-20%.
