China plans to set up a national renewable energy development fund

According to media reports China, Chinese government has proposed the "renewable energy law" (Renewable Energy Law) amendment, on the establishment of R & D funds, with the grid connected renewable energy, and other related projects, such as standards, testing and certification, test items, and power in rural and remote areas.

According to media reports, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has given the revised amendment to the draft in August 24th. "Renewable energy law" was adopted in February 2005, and began to perform in January 2006.
