China should vigorously develop the O/PLED industry

According to the data provided by CDT, the half-life of PLED is also more than tens of thousands of hours, just a little blue, but also close to 10 thousand hours. DuPont Co recently released a solution processing small molecule OLED technology, and is ready to use this technology to produce 4 inches to 6 inches portable DVD display, which is a major breakthrough in the production process of OLED technology. Cao Yong said, O/PLED industry has made great progress. Kodak introduced a spray heating, the utilization rate of organic raw materials will be increased from 5% to 90%. In recent years, Litrex has launched the 4.5 generation line (730mm * 920mm) inkjet printing equipment, and they recently launched a 2.4m * 2.4m large inkjet printing equipment.

O/PLED shipments each year, a substantial increase, but by the price impact, the profit is not synchronized growth, while the industry also has several companies out of the ranks of the competition due to financial reasons. But in the past two years, the situation has improved significantly, following the announcement that Samsung will produce active OLED, Sumitomo chemical announced in July this year, will be $285 million to buy CDT, the price is equivalent to the highest price of CDT shares in history.

How should China develop O/PLED industry? Cao Yong believes that in the short term, should focus on supporting 1-2 as soon as possible have the foundation, determined the industrialization of enterprises, to achieve commercial production of O/PLED as soon as possible, the development of a competitive LCD product line, make it become the domestic production of O/PLED seeds. In the long run, the development of O/PLED industry to solve the problem of TFT. O/PLED is current driven, the current is larger, the need for low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) technology. In this regard, the leading international enterprises did not realize large-scale production, the new low-temperature polysilicon so we should support a variety of independent intellectual property rights of the technology, such as Hongkong, the Guo Haicheng group metal induced Yan Dong research application of chemical technology, LTPS Changchun Airlines Group organic TFT technology. On the whole, we should develop the material and technology to form the pixels in order to reduce the production cost and improve the market competitiveness. Domestic enterprises and research institutions should give full play to the advantages of the combination of research, under the support of the government to absorb private capital, to attract international talents, promote the rapid development of China's O/PLED industry.
