Core technology launched high-power LED lighting driver chip

The day before, Maxic technology limited company announced the launch of two high performance, high reliability, high power LED lighting driver chip - MT7200 and MT7201. MT7200 and MT7201 are two continuous inductive current mode step-down constant current source, self input voltage range it has a wide 7V to 40V, 350mA and 1A respectively output constant current, low power LED high power LED 1-12 series light driven or a plurality of series parallel. MT7200 is capable of driving up to 12 watts of high power LED; the MT7201 can drive up to 36 watts of high power LED.

The series of chips using advanced system architecture, system efficiency, conversion efficiency can be as high as 97%. MT7200 and MT7201 using PWM dimming and DC voltage simulation two dimming technology. PWM dimming precision is high, compared with the analog dimming, there will be no LED color shift phenomenon, can meet the 100Hz ~ 500Hz (low frequency PWM) and 10kHz (high frequency PWM) range from 0 to 100% dimming requirements. The brightness of the LED is determined by the duty cycle of the PWM signal. Among them, PWM dimming mode can have the following three ways, (1) the direct use of PWM signal control; (2) through the open collector / drain transistor controlled by PWM signal; (3) to control the PWM signal generated by the microcontroller.

MT7201 using SOT89-5 package, the chip can be directly connected to the core through the package outside the metal plate cooling, thermal conductivity is very effective. The MT7201 is internally equipped with over temperature protection to ensure stable and reliable operation of the system. When the chip temperature exceeds 165 degrees, IC will enter the over temperature protection state and stop the current output, and when the temperature is below the temperature of 145 degrees to restore to the working state. At the same time, the chip has LED open circuit protection, as well as current limiting circuit, such as multiple protection circuit to ensure that the working environment of the LED lamp is normal, and its service life is prolonged. MT7200 because of its relatively small current, can be based on customer demand and the use of SOT23-5 and SOT89-5 packaging.

With the rectifier bridge, MT7200/MT7201 can be applied to 12V, 24V, and 36V AC power supply LED lamps. MT7200/MT7201 external parts are very few, and the efficiency of up to 97%, is the real green driver IC. MT7200/MT7201 is widely used in the use of LED lights MR11, MR16, water lights, street lamps and other LED lamps.
