CREE announced the 2017 fiscal year Q3 (Jie Zhisan check the end of the month) revenue of $342 million, compared with the same period last year fell 7%.
Cree net loss of $99 million in the quarter, or equivalent to a loss of $1.02 per share, compared with the same period last year net profit of $152 thousand, or earnings per share (EPS) $0.01. Excluding unconventional items, net profit shrank from $17 million last year to $749 thousand, and EPS shrank from $0.01 to $0.17, well below analysts' estimates of $0.07.
Looking forward to this season, Cree expects revenue to be between $3.4-3.6 and $349 million, roughly in line with analysts' estimates. In addition, Cree estimates that EPS will be somewhere between $0.02-0.07.
