DOE released Caliper project tenth round test results

DOE provides seventh round of funding for solid state lighting projects, and announced the results of the Caliper project, the tenth round

Chinese semiconductor lighting network translation U.S. Department of energy (DOE) has announced two solid-state lighting (SSL) application for investment projects, to seek for the project to promote the use of solid-state lighting technology research and development and market.

The fund is mainly used for two projects, one is used for Core Technology Research ($15 million) of the two existing DOE solid state lighting R & D projects, another is used for product development ($10 million).

Caliper project tenth round test results

DOE through the solid state lighting Caliper project completed the 10 round of product testing.

The tenth round of product testing includes four main focus areas: parking lot building lighting, outdoor lighting, wall Cove lighting (including two known as "AC LED" products) and replacement lamps. In order to standardize the testing of similar products, the traditional light source, the traditional parking building lighting lamp, wall lamp and concave ceiling lighting fixtures are tested.
