March 2nd, the U.S. Department of energy (DOE) issued a statement, said the DOE and the Federal Laboratory will be solid state lighting (SSL) core technical issues, the proposal will be as of April 17th.
The United States Department of energy efficiency and Renewable Energy Office (EERE), construction technology project (Building Technologies Program) are all from the DOE National Laboratory (DOE National Laboratories), the National Center for scientific research (National Science Research Centers), the Department of Defense Laboratory (Department of Defense Laboratories) application for SSL core technology research projects in the field of seek or any other federal laboratories.
The core technology research focused on the need to improve the application of SSL technology, and provides the required to solve the problem of knowledge and data, to overcome the appeal to meet in the study of the "interest project" of the problem.
Under the call of the study, DOE is expected to be about $2 million a year for new awards, these funds are accumulated in each fiscal year DOE down. According to the call of the study, DOE is expected to set about 2-6 awards this fiscal year.
This spring, DOE is expected to industry, universities and other interested research institutions to carry out the sixth round of core technology research and product development funds.
