DisplayChips set DC/DC converter chip OLED driver

Korea DisplayChips company announced the launch of the model for the DC3100 OLED driver, said it is the industry's first integrated DC/DC converter chip. The chip does not require external DC/DC converter to drive the passive matrix organic light emitting diode (passive-matrix OLED), which makes the manufacturing cost module can be used to reduce 10%~15%, such as 65K color, 96 x 96 passive matrix OLED module.

Through the integration of DC/DC converters, the DC3100 provides an easy to modify driver and low application cost. At high frame rates, it does not require a reference resistor and exhibits good performance. Another attractive feature is the consistency of very good IC adjustments during wafer testing.

Based on a 0.20 micron CMOS process, the chip uses a low current consumption algorithm based on a patented technology, its pre charge technology (pre-charge) will reduce the power consumption to the traditional OLED driver IC of 50%. Chip built-in DC/DC converter output voltage is 6-18V, while the external power supply is 6-21V. The supply voltage for the logic circuit is 1.7-3.3V, and the supply voltage for the analog circuit is 2.4-3.3V. Provided by the booster or external power supply OLED power driver is 5.0-18.0V. Can adjust the frame rate of 60150 frames per second.

The OLED driver IC has a total of 96 base and 288 sub pole, can be 65536 color drive in the RAM on chip (a total of 147456 bits for graphics) stored in the microprocessor to serial or parallel data, generated at the same time signal to drive a OLED panel.
