EU to amend the RoHS directive on the exemption of cadmium in LED

In February 26, 2010, the European Commission announced in the official bulletin of the committee decided 2010/122/EU, in view of the cadmium in the LED of the replacement is not technically mature, decided to exempt.

2010/122/EU requires that the following thirty-ninth items be added in the appendix to the RoHS directive:

"In July 1st 39.2014 years before the application in solid state lighting or display system in color conversion II-VI family LED (g < 10 Candela per square millimeter of luminous area) the use of cadmium".
