Corporation launched a highly integrated 850kHz, low noise, high efficiency 1x/1.5x/2x multi mode charge pump LTC3209-1 and LTC3209-2, to drive the cellular phone, camera and auxiliary LED display. Each of these two devices can drive up to 8 LED current sources with a total output current of up to 600mA. The auxiliary display screen, main screen camera LTC3209-1 able to drive up to 6 LED, a LED and a LED; while LTC3209-2 can drive up the auxiliary display screen display, the main camera 5 LED two LED and a LED. The two devices are available in a compact 4mm x QFN 4mm package. Each display can be digitally controlled, and through two wire I2CTM serial interface to achieve independent dimming and programming. The 2.9V to 4.5V input voltage range of the LTC3209-1/-2 has been optimized for single-cell applications powered by a single Li ion battery. The characteristics of LTC3209-1 and LTC3209-2 charge pump is low noise constant frequency, and VIN and LED positive voltage based on automatic optimization efficiency. These two devices are added to the 1x mode, and when any LED current source close to the pressure drop when switching to boost mode (1.5x); the subsequent pressure drop occurs when switching to 2x mode. The maximum current of the main / camera / auxiliary display is set with a single resistor. The LED current is controlled by an accurate internal current source, and all the dimming and on / off control of the display is realized through the two wire I2C serial interface. The main display has 256 brightness levels, the camera display has 16 brightness levels, and the auxiliary display has 4 brightness levels. Internal circuitry prevents inrush current and excessive input noise during start-up and mode switching. In addition, the device has short circuit protection, thermal protection and LED open / short circuit protection.
