The United States Department of energy plans to release LED in December instead of a light draft standard, qualified products will be able to obtain the energy star qualification.
Karney, an Energy Star Program Manager at the U.S. Department of energy Richard, told an email that the partner of the energy star, which will release the LED draft standard in December.
In March 21, 2008, DOE announced that it would develop energy star standards for a wide variety of solid state lighting products, including solid state lighting. Then in August 15, 2008 DOE released additional class a draft standard, reiterated the solid state lighting instead of a light energy star standard, pointed out the research situation of alternative light technology needs more time, instead of a light standard from the August 15th release of the A product were isolated separately, will release the standard schedule for future replacement lamps.
At the end of the year, DOE will spend 45 days to consult the draft standard. DOE plans to formally implement the final draft of the summer of 2009.
