Expert: OLED industrial layout regional development should be macro-control

In view of the current domestic organic light emitting diode (OLED) industry development status, the 2010 China tablet of Tsinghua University professor Qiu Yong 16 held in Shanghai show academic conference, currently requires the integration of resources, appropriate macro-control of industrial layout and regional development priorities.

OLED is regarded as the most potential new flat panel display technology after LCD and PDP. China as a global manufacturing and consumer electronics products, is also seen as the world's largest OLED application market. CCID Consulting predicts that over the next three years, with the increasing demand for consumer electronics terminal, China's demand for OLED panel will grow rapidly.

Qiu Yong believes that the development of OLED industry has important strategic significance to China, OLED technology will be in 10 years to 15 years after gradually mature and become the mainstream display technology; China's development is conducive to break the foreign OLED of core resource "display" is to change the monopoly, China display industry development mode and establish innovative I in the display industry great opportunities.

But at the same time, China's OLED industry is still facing the industry chain is not perfect, supporting the localization rate of less than 20%; high quality and low cost production technology needs further development; AMOLED technology development and industrialization and foreign large gap problem etc..

Qiu Yong suggested that, for the better development of China's OLED industry, first of all to OLED technology innovation system construction combination, led by the state, enterprises to participate in the establishment of the National Engineering Laboratory, OLED or OLED National Engineering Center, and the construction of a common technology research and development, for the whole industry to open the transformation platform, and support personnel training, support enterprises horizontal and vertical integration and cooperation; secondly, cultivate international competitiveness of leading enterprises, the introduction of a number of policies to encourage industrial development, including industrial layout, investment, finance, taxation, special funds, personnel and other special supporting policies, centralized resources support to participate in international competition and cultivate leading enterprises with international competitiveness leading enterprises; thirdly, to do research on equipment and raw materials such as the development of industrial chain supporting work.
