Expert advice to accelerate the development of Photonic Industry

November 28th, experts in the Yangtze River Delta photonic technology innovation forum and 2006 Anhui science and Technology Forum, through in-depth research, submitted "on accelerating the development of Anhui photon industry proposal" to the provincial government, called for the development of Photonic Industry, promote our province economic development by leaps and bounds.

From the domestic and foreign scientists engaged in the study of Photonics and photonic industry experts agree that Anhui should seize the historical opportunities for the rapid development of the photon industry, bigger and stronger as soon as possible. Our province has USTC, Hefei University of technology, Ontario, Hefei Academy of Sciences Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, ANN, Chinese Light Electronics Group 38 and a number of important universities and research institutes, has a strong accumulation in the study of photonic technology, a lot of research at the leading position in the country, many photon technical talents. In Photonics and photon technology research achievements transformation and industrialization has laid a good foundation.

"Proposal" called on relevant departments of our province Photonic Industry Development Strategy and planning, will be included in the provincial science and technology plan of special photonic technology, environmental monitoring equipment, optical laser medical instrument, laser advanced manufacturing, photovoltaic, semiconductor lighting (white LED) and other light industry sub projects included in the "861" plan of action.
