The standardization organizations related to the flat panel display industry in China are: the Ministry of information industry flat panel display technical standards working group, the National Technical Committee for standardization of audio, video and multimedia systems and equipment. The two standards organizations have different emphases: the audio, video and multimedia systems and Equipment Standardization Technical Committee is mainly involved in one of the flat panel display industry chain downstream products -- Application of flat-panel TV; the Ministry of information industry of flat panel display technology standard working group is mainly involved in the flat-panel display industry chain in the middle panels and modules, at the same time taking into account the coordination between upper and lower reaches.

The Ministry of information industry of flat panel display technology standard working group was established in June 2003, currently has four professional groups: liquid crystal display technology (LCD) group, plasma display technology (PDP) group, organic light emitting diode display technology (OLED) and semiconductor light emitting diode display technology group (LED screen) group.
