Formula one car - PHILPS lit Singapore night Valerio Maioli choose PHILPS lighting light for the driver to provide a safe driving environment and let the audience experience excitement

Royal Dutch Philips Electronics Ltd announced GP Pte Ltd in Singapore, designated by the Italy consulting firm Valerio Maioli S.p.A. used the lighting lamp, the product will be for the September 28, 2008 Singapore Formula One racing night race of light, this is the F1 car race held at night for the first time. The International Automobile Federation (FIA) agrees with the design of the Valerio Maioli company, which is designed to comply with stringent safety standards.

PHILPS and Valerio Maioli are working together to develop a dedicated optical system for the product. Mr Maioli chose this kind of light because of the brightness of the night, which could be used to provide a safe environment for the driver, even at a speed of more than 300 kilometers per hour. The lighting system developed by engineers at Valerio Maioli can achieve the purpose of avoiding glare by projecting light at various angles, rather than from a vertical angle. This lighting system can also prevent glare in wet weather conditions, while it also provides the driver with safe driving conditions. In addition, PHILPS lighting also meet the requirements of high definition television (HDRV) broadcast standard, this design can also provide exciting experience for the players on the track and television viewers at home.

In March 2007, in order to support the night race, Formula One racing chief executive Bernie.Ecclestone commissioned Valerio Maioli to develop a set of lighting systems for formula one cars. A series of tests were carried out in the whole of Europe, including a formula one car such as the Renault test driver Nelson Piguqet Jr, match expert test after Mr. Maioli will be his project to the International Automobile Federation (FIA) security council.

When it comes to this project, Mr. Maioli said: "to make the International Automobile Federation approved the night race, the most important is the proposed scheme to meet the most stringent safety requirements, but also to the driver, the audience and the broadcasting company to the best experience. PHILPS has become a natural choice for its success on the sports arena."

PHILPS Lighting Group CEO Rudy Provoost said: "in order to circle many racing driver's dream, we are honored to participate in the development of innovative lighting design, this scheme allows people to get more enjoyment from this thrilling movement. We are very happy to support Valerio Maioli's use of lighting system we held in a formula one race, because it can not only enhance the visibility of the sport, but also to make it more secure, more exciting."

Singapore's Marina Bay racing road is equipped with 1500 light emitting lights, 4 times higher than the night of the football field to illuminate the brightness of the 5.067 km road racing. Since the track is a road lane, the lighting system is only temporary. The height of the lamp will change to suit the roadside trees. Some of the lights are deliberately installed below the crown, and do not interfere with the underground public facilities, such as water gas pipes and cables.
