Recently, General Electric (GE) lighting project team China R & D center developed a LED tunnel lighting system, lighting system and its advanced modular design compared to traditional as high as 45%, while the design life of up to 10 years is four times than traditional fluorescent lamp system service life, two to three times is the traditional high strength the service life of the gas discharge lamp system.
It is understood that GE currently has 200 thousand sets of traditional lighting used in the city Chinese tunnel, GE Chinese R & D center in Shanghai and Xi'an lighting engineering team at the beginning of the 2011 Chinese for customized design a high performance tunnel lighting system. It uses a unique modular LED tunnel lighting system, through a two optical module flexible implementation of component 40 watts to 120 watts of power to upgrade (which means every 20 watts, without the need to re design), easily meet different tunnel, and the same in different sections of the tunnel lighting requirements.
China is one of the fastest growing countries in the world, and tunnel lighting is an integral part of tunnel construction. GE chairman and chief executive officer Geoff Immelt said that the next three years, GE will invest $500 million to strengthen the research and development activities and to establish a number of innovation center in Chinese, better service to the southwest, northwest, northeast and central market. He also pledged to invest more than 1 billion 500 million U.S. dollars to build a new joint venture. The future innovation center will be dedicated to the GE advantages in technology and innovation to Chinese, including advanced lighting technology, the innovation center will also work with GE in Shanghai, Beijing and Wuxi R & D institutions form a synergistic effect.
