GE TOKKI will cooperate with, packaging technology and manufacturing equipment integration OLED

March 5, 2007, GM's global R & D Center (GE Global Research) reached an agreement with Japan's OLED production equipment supplier TOKKI company, GE patented PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) thin film packaging technology with TOKKI equipment combine to achieve organic electronic thinner and more cost-effective (including OLED flat panel display) package. This cooperation is expected to build a new production line of glass substrate OLED manufacturing equipment. If successful, OLED flat panel display market potential will be greatly improved, the new market will also be opened in organic electronics.
