Global semiconductor manufacturers 20: bright performance of large manufacturers

Announced in 2005 the world's 20 largest semiconductor manufacturers leading semiconductor industry analysis firm iSuppli on top. From the published data, although in 2005 for the global semiconductor industry is a soft landing, but the main chip manufacturer's performance is still brisk, three manufacturers of the maximum growth rate exceeded the market average. According to iSuppli data, global semiconductor sales in 2005 was $237 billion 100 million, an increase of $3.6% compared to $228 billion 800 million in 2004. Compared with the strong growth of 23.8% in 2004, this modest growth represents a soft landing in the semiconductor industry. The largest of the three semiconductor suppliers are Intel, Samsung Electronics and TI, their growth rate is higher than the market average of 3.6%, to consolidate the leading position in the market. Broadcom, Hynix, IBM, micron, Qualcomm, SONY, STMicroelectronics and Toshiba rankings are steadily, while the AMD, Infineon, Matsushita, SHARP, Renesas four companies ranked respectively decreased.
