In recent years, Guangxi continued to increase investment in urban lighting construction. As of the end of 2012, the city of Guangxi and the city of the 14 districts and counties have a total of 89 road lighting lamps, the length of the road to install street lights is 7926 km, the total installed power of urban lighting lamp is 137 thousand and 100 kilowatts. But subject to factors such as economic level, many of the city lighting facilities, high consumption, most cities and counties do not have to complete the preparation of city lighting special planning and construction monitoring system of lighting facilities lag, lack of effective supervision, the city lighting development is not balanced.

According to the plan, to 2015, the new construction, renovation and expansion of the city road lamp rate to reach 100%, the main road of the city lighting rate to reach 98%, secondary trunk road and branch road lighting rate to reach 96%, road lighting facilities intact rate to reach 95%, landscape lighting facilities intact rate to reach 90%.

To 2015, the rate of application of city lighting, high efficiency and long life light source is not less than 90%, the power factor of lighting line of not less than 0.85, the lighting quality compliance rate of not less than 85%, the new road lighting energy saving evaluation compliance rate of 100%, both the road lighting energy saving evaluation compliance rate of not less than 70%, 3 years accumulative total to reach 9%.

Guangxi will carry out the investigation on the existing mode of implementation of city lighting, city lighting energy-saving renovation of existing facilities, application and promotion of efficient lighting products, prohibit the use of high consumption and inefficient lighting facilities and products in the new project, to promote the application of energy management contract in city lighting industry.

This year, Guangxi city lighting management assessment will be gradually incorporated into the government work assessment system, strengthen the city lighting planning, construction and transfer operation management and supervision, the lighting design in the construction plan review, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the lighting facilities.
