Heliospectra plant culture LED lighting system to settle in space"

HELiospectra, known as plant science and gardening, the wisdom of LED lighting system, DLR (DeutschesZentrumf rLuft-undRaumfahrt) branch in Bremen, space systems research center (Institutf rRaumfahrtsysteme, IRS), selected as the supplier of lighting system extends research cooperation case.

IRS EDEN (self development and design, under the environment of Evolution&DesignofEnvironmentally-closedNutritionsources), mainly focus on bio regenerative life support system, especially in the greenhouse using module and remote environment of the future of humans to be living like space (the moon, Mars and earth) (Antarctica) related to science and technology.

Heliospectra said that one of them is to plan in Antarctica from Maier Station No. three (NeumayerStationIII), in the winter of nine months the team is completely isolated from the harsh environment, in a poor environment in greenhouse test module. In addition to the team through the fresh fruit, to meet the basic needs of life on the one hand, and to explore the psychological effects of plants on human beings in the isolated state.

Heliospectra recently released the L4A series 10 LED lighting system, which aims at the needs of researchers to provide advanced tools to help explore new discoveries in plant science. Heliospectra and DLR cooperation is the first extension of the system functional testing.

"It's a very proud and exciting research project, and we're happy to be there. Of course, space travel is quite interesting in itself, and it is equally important for us to be part of the program and to demonstrate the application of our lighting system in plant science research. We want to make a contribution to the future plants that are still growing, whether it is on earth or in space. "Heliospectra business and marketing vice president Chris Christopher Shitelai (ChristopherSteele) said.
