The day before, the Belgian AGFA-Gevaert NV, Holland PHILPS Research Institute (Philips Research), Holland, Belgium and Holland IMEC HolstCentre TNO announced that the trial out of the 12cm square flexible OLED lighting panel with high conductive transparent resin electrode instead of ITO. The results were achieved with the help of the EU project "Fast2Light", which is targeted at the use of printing technology to produce flexible OLED lighting.
Under low temperature process, ITO is difficult to ensure the conductivity problem. And the use of transparent resin conductive, and suitable for coating method, so easy to use printing process. The transparent resin is AGFA as a special anti-static film material and the development of "Orgacon". The OLED component can also be used as a conductive resin based on PEDOT/PSS.
Currently, SANYO motors and Tokyo Institutet of Technology are also actively developing this material. The transparent electrode of the general OLED lighting panel is mostly the structure of ITO film and PEDOT/PSS film. This time, by replacing the Orgacon with ITO, the conductivity of the transparent electrode was increased by about 6 times (AGFA). The OLED lighting panel is made to improve the proportion of the printing process, such as the printed wiring on the transparent electrode. The bottom plate is made of metal foil and can be bent freely. However, the specific conductivity, brightness and luminescence lifetime are not disclosed.
