Hitachi, Canon launched a cooperation program for small and medium size OLED panel

According to Japanese Economic News reported by Hitachi (Hitachi) and Canon (Canon) to the common development of digital cameras (DSC) used in small and medium size OLED panel industry etc.. The two companies will set up a new unit since July 2008, combined with its technical team, and the introduction of new production equipment for trial production.

Hitachi and Canon in July 1st jointly set up the organization "OLED OLED development of the" integration of OLED and related technical personnel previously dispersed in Hitachi Displays company units. Canon will also send technical personnel to join the Ministry, the initial participation of both sides of the program will be about 100 technical personnel.

In addition, the two companies will try the OLED panel production line in Chiba County Mohara enterprise, production management and import material coating technology, Canon at Know how, hoping to construct the production mechanism of the low cost, and with a 2.5 inch, 3 inch high order DSC OLED panel commercialization the initial target.

At present, the main supplier of small and medium size OLED panel for the Han factory Samsung SDI (Samsung SDI) and the factory's Toshiba Panasonic Display Technology (TMD).
