Hitachi PDP panel production plan 09 years per month to 300 thousand

In the face of thriving flat-panel TV market, Hitachi recently announced a revised plan, decided to raise its subsidiary - Fujitsu Hitachi plasma display (FHP) plasma display output.

Hitachi will be in third factories in the construction of a $787 million 100 thousand investment, the most advanced production line, in order to improve the plasma display panel (PDP) production efficiency. To the second half of fiscal year 2006, these third plants will be able to produce a monthly production of 100000 panels, the monthly production capacity will be in the end of March 31, 2009 to the end of fiscal year 2008 rose to 200000.

FHP first announced in March 2004, will invest $694 million 500 thousand to build third factories in Japan, miyazaki. At that time, FHP plans to start production in early 2006, the monthly production of the 50000 to the fiscal year 2007 increased to 150000. However, the sharp decline in PDP prices prompted FHP to build a more cost-effective production line.

With second factories in 100000 Miyazaki 50000, FHP per month in the second half of fiscal year 2006 will reach 200000, increased to 300000 at the end of March 2009.

This year Hitachi has been trying to strengthen its PDP business. In March it acquired a stake in Fujitsu FHP, the FHP into its own subsidiary, while it acquired the Fujitsu PDP module patents. In February, Hitachi also announced a partnership with Matsushita plasma display, covering R & D, production and sales and sharing of intellectual property rights.
