ISuppli:2015 global TV shipments increased to $1 billion 800 million OLED

Market research firm iSuppli published before the latest research report pointed out that in 2015 the global TV OLED (organic light emitting diode display) panel shipments amounted to 09 years will be $10 million to $1 billion 800 million, the TV has become the main application products to drive sales growth of OLED. The agency said that the TV with a larger area than the phone OLED, the price is also high, thus driving up shipments.

However, despite the substantial increase in the amount of shipments, 2013 TV OLED panel shipments will only 09 years to climb to the 25 thousand piece of 850 thousand, and in 2015 further climbed to 4 million 700 thousand. This is still relatively small in terms of LCD TV panel shipments to reach 232 million 600 thousand in 2013.

ISuppli pointed out that the current 11 inch AMOLED (active matrix) TV price is about $2500, while the 42-44 inch LCD TV panel is only $704. Limited by the process and the production of limited and other issues, the next few years, OLED TV will continue to maintain low shipments, the situation is expensive, is expected to at least until 2015 OLED TV will still be a small high-end market.

ISuppli also said that LG Display is expected to launch in this (2009) Christmas day, 15 inches AMOLED tv.
