ITRI released LED backlight module color drift correction system

Recently, according to the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) reported that ITRI released a LED backlight module color drift correction system, which can be extended to the application of large size LCD TV and public display.

ITRI said, LED backlight module (BLUs) in 1000 hours of continuous work, its performance began to decline, and its new system can monitor the performance of LED backlight, then make adjustments to maintain its rich colors. Because the human eye is more sensitive to the brightness difference between the high end and the large size panel, the technology is extremely ideal in the products of the large size TV, the medical application product and the public display screen.

ITRI revealed that the Institute is applying for five patents for the system, and is now negotiating with a Taiwan panel maker for further cooperation.
