According to the information technology team of the European Union and Belgium representative office, the government of the Flanders area in Belgium recently announced that orange sodium lamps on the motorway will be completely changed to blue and white LED lights in the next few years. The Flanders government said that the overall renewal plan for Expressway lamps is expected to take about 4 years, and the overall cost will be around 16 million to 20 million euros.

In addition, LED lighting is expected to save 4 million euro per year and reduce 40 tons of CO2 emissions.

The Ministry of transport and public works of the Flanders region believes that the plan will be fully returned in 6 years.
