Shi LAN micro announced half year earnings report, LED product revenue growth slowed down

Yesterday (7) evening, Shi LAN micro released the 2018 semi annual report. The total operating revenue of the company was 1 billion 437 million 90 thousand yuan, an increase of 10.70% over the same period in 2017. The company's operating profit was 61 million 650 thousand yuan, a decrease of 32.63% compared to the same period in 2017. The total profit of the company was 62 million yuan, 31.84% lower than that in 2017. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 95 million 310 thousand yuan, 12.90% more than that in 2017.

Mr shelland said that the main reason for the decrease in total business profits and profits was that the 8 inch chip production line of the company's subsidiary, shellan Ji Xin, had not yet reached production during the reporting period, with relatively high fixed costs and a certain amount of loss.

As far as the specific products are concerned, in the first half of 2018, the operating income of the company's light-emitting diode products was 263258765.57 yuan, and its growth slowed down, up only 1.52% from the same period last year. Shi Lan said that the main reason for the slow growth of LED product revenue is the fluctuation of LED downstream market demand. To this end, the company will speed up the development of high brightness white chips and speed up access to high-end LED lighting market while stabilizing the market share of color chip.

The company's IC revenue decreased by 2.5% compared with the same period last year (1H17). As for the main reason for the decline in the company's IC revenues, Shi LAN explained that the shipment of LED lighting drive circuits has declined due to the fluctuation of the LED downstream market. In this regard, the company has accelerated the adjustment of product mix. It is estimated that the shipment volume of the LED lighting drive circuit will increase in the three quarter.

As one of the three major products of the company, the revenue of discrete device products has increased rapidly. 1H18 business revenue increased by 26.67% over the same period last year. The growth of discrete device revenue is mainly due to the rapid growth of the company's 8 inch chip production line.

Mr Lan said that for a long time, the company has adhered to the road of "design and manufacturing integration", strongly supporting the research and development of special processes and products, forming a close interaction between the characteristic technology and product development, and the collaborative development of devices, integrated circuits and module products. With the further acceleration of the 8 inch chip production line and the start up of the compound semiconductor device production line and the 12 inch chip technology chip production line project, it will continue to promote the rapid growth of the total revenue of the company.
