India Videocon and Haier group for Daewoo Electronics

Reported, India Videocon Group and China appliance giant Haier (Haier) are competing for South Korea's Daewoo Electronics (Daewoo Electronics). Daewoo Electronics is owned by Daewoo Group, which has been declared bankrupt during the Asian financial crisis of 1990s.

According to the India economic times (The Economic) reported that Videocon Group has been with the acquisition of Daewoo Electronics may be held preliminary consultations on the possible acquisition of Times. However, the report quoted the chairman of the board of Videocon Group said, did not hold consultations. Videocon Group was acquired in 2005 by the French Thompson (Thomson) company's television business.

Daewoo Electronics, with annual sales of nearly $3 billion, is engaged in the production of color TV sets, LCD and plasma displays, as well as DVD and MP3 players. It has a relatively well-known brand in the United States and Europe, and therefore attracted the interest of Videocon and Haier.
