India integrated chip facilities to create a semiconductor industry ecosystem

Semicon Park Pvt. Ltd. recently opened in India, India to develop their own semiconductor "ecosystem" efforts and a step forward. The new facility known as India's first one-stop design for domestic chip manufacturers after (post-design) and manufacturing (post-fab) services. A test plant is running, circuit board manufacturing facilities will be put into operation before the end of the year. Total planned investment of about $15 million.

The new facility based on the cluster model in Taiwan. This model is driving the growth of the Taiwan region as the world's leading chip manufacturing.

Overseas Indians working in Silicon Valley are major investors in the facility. It covers an area of 5 acres, including a plant of about 350000 square feet. The park includes test plant, circuit board manufacturing, packaging service provider and a system level programming company.

India has developed a three year investment strategy for these facilities. "The development of the semiconductor industry in India has always been focused on design and other related services," said Johny Park, the principal facilitator and chief executive officer of Semicon Mathew. India needs to build a more comprehensive ecosystem."

Not long ago, India's first large semiconductor manufacturing plant Nano-Tech Silicon India Pvt. held a groundbreaking ceremony in Ltd.
