India new initiatives to improve the local Optoelectronic Devices R & D capability

India Department of information technology (Information Technology) recently announced the launch of a number of plans, in order to improve the ability of local research and development of optoelectronic devices. In order to speed up the development process, all research work was carried out by a number of research institutions and institutes of education in India.

The Institute of Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and research in Mumbai will create a national packaging equipment center for packaging optoelectronic devices. The automatic alignment system used to align the optical fiber with the device to achieve maximum optical coupling is also going to be built in Mumbai's equipment center. Passive optical devices, such as planar optical circuits, which are built on various substrates, will benefit from these packages, and they have been tested on power splitters, and the devices are being evaluated. Here also to build a laser welding system for active device packaging, according to the Ministry of information technology, India.

In addition, National Institute of Pilani north of India has developed a laser diode chip; at the same time, is the development of optical amplifier system in New Delhi of India Institute of technology; India has a research institute using polymer as the core layer between fixed and flexible electrode, are studied for optical devices.
