India will build a $3 billion chip plant AMD Technology

February 13th news, the U.S. chip giant AMD said it would invest $3 billion in southern India, a microprocessor and chip production projects to provide technical. Hyderabad municipal government in southern India have approved the plan.

This chip factory is located in India the southern state of Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Pradesh) the capital of high-tech city suburb of Hyderabad, covers an area of 485 hectares. The new factory will create 1000 new jobs.

AMD said in a statement, the chip joint venture's name is Fab City". It will provide chip processing technology for the joint venture. The Semindia group in California will be responsible for funding. Semindia is a non permanent Indian organization in the United states. The organization has received a AMD license that allows them to use AMD processing technology to produce microprocessors and chips.

AMD said that the plan may also include the India government to obtain some stake in the chip manufacturing plant. AMD added that it would not make any financial investment in the project. According to reports, the new India chip factory will include 20 microprocessors and silicon chip processing sector. The chip processing plant will build a public-private partnership.
