Infineon and South Asia science and technology cooperation 60 nanometer DRAM production process

Infineon and Nanya technology announced that the two sides have signed on to expand the scope of cooperation DRAM development agreement. Agreement since September 2005, the two sides cooperate for the development of 300 mm wafer manufacturing process of advanced nano 60. The cooperation is the existing 90 nanometer and the production process of the development of 70 nanometer further expansion, the cost of cooperation and development by the joint commitment.

Both parties in their respective factories and production joint venture Polytron Technologies Inc (Inotera Memories), and joint development of new production technology application in Dresden factory. The two sides also plans to further develop cooperation in Munich 60 nanometer samples. Infineon Technologies and South Asia sent a total of more than and 100 people engaged in the development of the project. Application of the new 60 nanometer manufacturing process of the first batch of 300 mm wafer storage products are expected to be off the assembly line in 2008.

In cooperative development of DRAM channel technology advanced, Infineon and South cooperation in science and technology industry production joint venture - Huaya Polytron Technologies Inc in Taiwan taoyuan. Huaya Polytron Technologies Inc focused on the production of DRAM products, the rapid growth of output, allegedly monthly production at the beginning of more than 60000 pieces of wafer.
