Intel push new lithium laptop battery available for 8 hours

Recently, Panasonic Corp said it would strengthen cooperation with Intel, the joint development of battery technology.

The two sides will work together to develop lithium battery technology, so that each laptop can be charged for more than 8 hours of continuous work. Panasonic said it will launch a new battery in April 2006.

Both sides said in a statement, the new battery will increase the use of laptop batteries and other products such as mobile phones, digital cameras. The new battery capacity is 2.9Ah, 30% higher than the current battery capacity. When the battery is fully filled, the voltage is 4.2V, can also discharge to 2.5V. And now the market can only use the battery discharge to 3V.
