Intel was the South Korean antitrust authorities raided alleged abuse of monopoly

According to foreign media reports, Intel said the day before, the South Korean government antitrust agency visited Intel headquarters of the Korea Companies, and said the visit is the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) as part of a survey published last summer's activities.

According to local media reports, South Korea, South Korean antitrust agency KFTC suddenly visit Intel headquarters. But Intel's main rival, AMD, issued a press release saying that KFTC's "early morning raid" at Intel's Korea Companies headquarters was the same as Intel's previous experience in Japan and europe.

Intel spokesman chuck Mourinho Ruoyi (Chuck Mulloy) said: "this is not what the raid, KFTC officials in the normal working hours and visited Intel headquarters of the Korea Companies." Mourinho Ruoyi said KFTC officials of Intel Korea Companies, part of the staff were asked, as usual, the company cooperated with the investigation.

The main purpose of the KFTC survey is to determine whether Intel abused its monopoly position in the processor market. The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) last year on the same Intel Japan company launched an investigation, the results found between Intel and Japan's trading partners with specific conditions, the impact of fair competition in the market, and suggested that Intel to change some inappropriate business practices. Intel does not agree with the findings of the JFTC, but accepts its recommendations.

Legal and administrative affairs director AMD Thomas - vice president Mccoy (Thomas M. McCoy) said in a statement, Intel KFTC launched the Korea Companies's "dawn raids" fully shows that antitrust agencies around the world have strengthened the antitrust investigation efforts of Intel's business practices.

Intel insists that it is legal to justify its business practices. Ruoyi Mourinho said: "for big companies like Intel, questioning is a commonplace thing."
