Maxim (MAXIM), before the introduction of efficient, switch mode, buck regulator MAX8723 - built-in 14V power switch. Requires only a few external components, the product can be from 6 to 13.2V DC voltage in the 3.3V fixed voltage or adjustable DC output voltage. The 13.2V input voltage makes the product well suited for LCD displays, load point regulators and other 8V/12V industrial equipment applications.

MAX8723 output current of 2A. It features a power MOSFET, a cathode load diode, an interface for an external synchronous rectification MOSFET driver; a switching frequency of 500kHz, 1MHz or 1.5MHz.

MAX8723 has a soft start feature that can limit inrush current during startup. The device also has three other important turn off features: current limit, thermal shutdown, and clock delay output. In addition, the MAX8723 also has a linear regulator that provides a fixed 5V output to support small external loads. The accuracy of the reference output is very high (2V + 1%), but also supports a small external load current. MAX8723 uses a 16 pin, 4mm x 4mm TQFN package, operating at -40 DEG C to +85 DEG C in the industrial temperature range.
