Japan's "non shattered" glass comes out with iPhone9 or new choice.

According to Japan's iPhone Mania News Network on November 8th, Motorola recently released the latest Droid Turbo2 configuration of the anti falling screen. Even if it was dropped, the display glass would not crack or break. It was very touched by users who had never seen a screen crash once.

Development of non destructive glass at University of Tokyo, Japan

However, it is learnt that the research group of the Institute of production technology of University of Tokyo has successfully developed a more rugged "basically non destructive" glass than the Droid Turbo2 display screen.

It is said that the development of this super hard glass is made of alumina, commonly known as bauxite. In the past, when large amounts of alumina were synthesized, they were faced with the problem of immediate crystallization. It seems that this group has studied the synthesis method of non crystallization.

Commercialization within 5 years

The details of the technology are published in the Nature group's academic magazine "Scientific Report". The research group is considering the commercialization of the technology in 5 years.

If it can be realized, iPhone and other smart phones will inevitably usher in a "non shattered" era, led by window glass.

Whether iPhone will also be adopted

The Apple phone is very strong and hard to damage. It is said that the sapphire crystal is being used as the display of iPhone. It is not known whether it has collected information about the newly developed glass. If iPhone is adopted, the era of iPhone 9 will come.
