Japan's Tokyo electric power "TEPCO living laboratory" published on the energy saving lamp (bulb fluorescent lamp and LED lamp) cognitive situation and the change of the investigation and analysis results. The results show that the initial cost of bulb type fluorescent lamp and LED bulb instead of incandescent lamp has been controlled within the acceptable range of consumers.
The survey was conducted in 1450 Japanese (male, female, 725) residents aged between 20 and 70 through the internet. For the incandescent lamp replacement for long life and low power consumption of the bulb type fluorescent lamp and LED lamp, can accept the cost recovery of this problem, 9 of respondents choose to buy for the actual cost recovery time of bulb type fluorescent lamp will be more than 5 months. When the replacement for LED bulbs, the actual cost recovery time will be more than 19 months of the answer accounted for 6. In other words, the difference has been controlled within the acceptable range of consumers.
Consumer awareness of LED bulbs higher. About half of the power consumption of LED bulbs relative to incandescent lamps, almost half of the respondents know the actual power consumption ratio. The bulb type fluorescent lamp with respect to the proportion of the power consumption of incandescent lamp, the respondents' cognitive rate of only 2. In terms of energy saving lamp life, know that the fluorescent lamp life of less than 2, LED bulb is only about 3.
About the replacement, about 6 of respondents answered that some or all of the incandescent lamp has been replaced by a fluorescent lamp. About 3 of them were replaced before the incandescent lamp life reached its end. The main reasons for the replacement include, bulb type fluorescent lamp "low power consumption (8)" and "long life (more than 7)". Replacement for LED bulbs only 5%. The reason for the replacement is the same as that of the bulb fluorescent lamp, but the price is higher. However, if the "depending on circumstances" also included about 9 respondents were hoping for use in their own home LED lighting, so that the analysis of Tokyo electric power, LED lighting if prices continue to decline in popularity is likely to accelerate the LED bulb.
