June global chip manufacturing equipment sales fell 28.3%

SEAJ (SEAJ) data, 31% growth in June global chip manufacturing equipment sales than in May, but compared to the same period last year fell 28.3% to $2 billion 690 million.

Intel (Intel) and Toshiba (Toshiba) and some other chip manufacturers recently raised capital spending plans, but these plans and demand recovery is not reflected in the sales.

June China mainland market chip equipment sales were $98 million 500 thousand, compared with the same period last year dropped 73.1%, the largest decline in percentage terms. Japan, Taiwan, North America and Europe in June sales fell 20.8%, respectively, $623 million 600 thousand, $21.8%, $523 million 300 thousand, $431 million 600 thousand, $23.9% and $257 million.

June Korea chip manufacturing equipment market performance is relatively good, with sales of $462 million 900 thousand, 3.8% lower than the same period last year. Sales in the rest of the world were $293 million 100 thousand, down 43.6% from a year ago.
