Raw material prices rose in August LCD prices continue to rise

LCD prices continue to rise in the second half of August after. News from Taiwan's LCD maker CMV, ACER and BENQ, the second half of August, they will continue to improve the 17 inch and 15 inch LCD ex factory price. CMV, the channel operator, has decided to raise the price of 17 inch LCD by NT $300 / Taiwan to $7500 / Taiwan ($234).

17 inch LCD display CMV price since mid August has risen to 200 new Taiwan dollars ($6), but the CMV 19 inch LCD still maintain the original price level; while Acer lowered the 19 inch LCD price in early August ($3-6 each), but it's 17 inch and 15 inch LCD the price has been rising in. The former has risen 3-5 U.S. dollars, which also increased from $5 immediately. ACER plans to continue LCD's price increases in September.

LCD prices are closely related to the prices of raw materials, the first half of August, the LCD panel 15 inch and 17 inch LCD with the average price of $142 and $170 at the beginning of April, the price of $122 and $160, compared with the rising momentum is very obvious.

The LCD maker plans to release a widescreen LCD in the fourth quarter, with CMV's plans to release a 20.1 inch LCD monitor, and Acer plans to launch a new model for the market with a 20 inch and a 24 inch model.
