LED backlight drive technology into large size display

In the face of the increasing awareness of global environmental protection, RoHS regulations are being implemented all over the world, and LCD panel manufacturers around the world are actively seeking alternatives to cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL). Over the past few years, LED (light-emitting diode) has been widely used, one of the fastest growing areas of application is the LCD backlight applications. Over the years LED has been widely used in small size display backlight applications, and has replaced the CCFL. In the application of large and medium size, LED is also becoming a trend to replace CCFL. LED backlight has begun to enter the need for higher performance and longer hours of large and medium size display backlight applications, such as GPS (Global Positioning System), DVD and notebook computers and other equipment.
