LED lighting energy saving and market potential analysis report

Introduction: in August 2014, DOE released the latest issue of the "report" forecasts the energy saving potential of solid-state lighting in general lighting applications, the report predicts that by 2030 the United States LED lighting applications, saving potential and market penetration.

The report notes that in 2013, the United States accounted for about 17% of the total electricity consumption of electricity, the use of LED lighting products will greatly reduce the consumption of lighting electricity.

The report estimates that in 2020, LED lighting products in the general lighting market penetration (based on lumen hours) from 3% in 2013, rose to 48%, lighting energy consumption will be reduced by 15%;

In 2030, LED lighting will dominate the lighting market, the overall market penetration rate of 84%, lighting energy consumption will be reduced to 40%, the current price conversion is equivalent to saving $26 billion, enough to supply 24 million households.

The rapid growth of LED lighting thanks to the competitiveness of LED costs and the promulgation of new energy efficiency standards.

DOE's report from the perspective of energy saving again to show people the infinite market space of LED lighting, and its forecast also coincides with the domestic industry institutions.

Release of the domestic industry agency report shows that in 2013, Chinese lighting electricity accounted for about 13.6% of the electricity consumption of the whole society, the market penetration of LED lighting products (based on sales) of 8.9%, is expected to 2015, China's LED lighting market penetration rate will exceed 30%, the annual saving of about 100 billion degrees;

In 2020, LED lighting market penetration rate will exceed 70%, the annual saving of about 340 billion degrees.
