LED manufacturer Nichia resolved with the British retailer Argos's lawsuit

LED manufacturer Nichia has solved the Christmas light white LED with the British retailer patent litigation.

By the end of 2006, Japan LED manufacturer Nichia said to Argos company (UK retailers) to sell some of the white LED product infringes Nichia Corporation in the European patent. The product is provided by third Asian manufacturers to Argos.

The company claims it Nichia products infringe in the European patent (UK) EP 0952617, EP 0622858 and EP 0936682. Nichia Corporation seeking compensation and asked the court to issue a ban.

The two sides have been friendly to settle their differences. Argos and Homebase (another British retailer) have xiangriya company to pay compensation and agreed to a business arrangement.

Nichia Corporation said that the protection of intellectual property is serious and the enforcement of intellectual property rights of its power in any country.
